The Makers Project…

…A belated start to the week after a busy and stressful few days with a 1-year-old battling croup and a hospital visit, but things are now thankfully on the mend.  Such episodes certainly make you think how much you take the good health of your family and loved ones around you for granted, and that we should appreciate and nurture good health.
I wanted to share with you today one of my favourite websites, The Makers Project, by Jennifer Causey, which is a  photographic exploration of Brooklyn designers, jewelers, floral designers and artisans creating handmade products  from all creative walks of life.
It is a lovely pictorial insight into the people behind the products with the aim “to learn what inspires them, what keeps them going, and their thoughts on the city where they live and work”
As I am a flower addict, today’s images celebrate the work of Sarah Ryhanen,  one of  the owners of an enchanting looking floral boutique, Saipua.

More atisans work to follow soon.  Enjoy your day. x

I’m sorry to hear about your child but at the same time glad that everything is fine now.

I’ve already seen Jennifer Causey’s work and her photographs are so beautiful. Swoon!
