The simple wardrobe

Afer searching through image after image of street style pictures at the recent shows featuring a kaleidoscope of colour, clashing prints and some rather kooky accessories to finish of outfits that all scream look at me, it  is rather refreshing to spy something that is casual and very modern, but not overly trendy.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love the use of statement pieces like the best of you, but isn’t it the goal of most woman to look stylish, with a dash of elegant sophistication but most importantly effortless.
I think that is what appeals to me most about Emmanualle Alt and Geraldine Saglio, their style of dressing embodies all of the above mention wardrobe goals. They never look like they have spent hours trying on outfits, the simple hair and minimal makeup shows a nonchalant approach to grooming which is so typical of french women and such a perfect winning combination in my eyes. x

French women (and especially these two!) never seem to get it wrong. I’m culling my wardrobe now down to the good quality basics that will work for everything and everywhere xx

I’m with you Jade, I’ve been refining my wardrobe for years now to feature good quality, classic but modern pieces that go with everything. It makes going to the wardrobe so much easier each day.
